Once upon a time
She dreamt of love.
Of rose colored sunsets,
Pearl laden velvet nights.
She dreamed in whispers
soft and low,
vows of eternity and more.

Once upon a time,
She knew the gentle touch
of his hand upon her face.
The effortless pull of his arms
Around her waist.
Drawing her so near to heaven.
Arms both strong and tender.

Once upon a time,
Dreams carried the days,
Laugher held the nights,
And the world lay gloriously full
Before their entwined
Souls and hearts.

Once upon a time
So long, long, ago,
The shared memories
Quenched the ache of her soul,
Filling her completely
With the contentment
That only love can bring.

In a place, once upon a time
Dreams were made
And hearts were lost.
The journey that is, goes on.
The fairy tale fades from view
No one can live in that place
That place of once upon a time.
