of nature's creatures
A forbidding landscape of stark beauty
Pristine green glass ice cloaking your body
An ethereal light casting soft shadows
over the lifeless earth
Winter, a season of treachery
and foreboding
A time to seek warmth and solace
in the seductive company of friends
